Our commitment
Kool & the Gang is committed to providing a website that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate and use. We consider accessibility part of the site’s design, development and editorial work—not a one-time feature or an automated overlay.
Our goal is equitable access to the core information and functions on this site, including tour dates, music, band history, video, press information and contact routes.
Our accessibility target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG describes ways to make digital content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.
This is our working target, not a claim that every page or third-party service has been formally certified. Accessibility and compatibility can change as content, browsers, assistive technologies and external services evolve.
Measures in place
The site currently includes measures such as:
- a “Skip to content” link and consistent page landmarks;
- logical headings, descriptive page titles and labeled navigation regions;
- keyboard-operable links, buttons, media controls and interactive features;
- visible keyboard focus styles and touch targets sized for smaller screens;
- text labels for form fields and accessible names for icon-only controls;
- alternative text for informative images and hidden treatment for decoration;
- layouts that adapt across screen sizes and support browser text enlargement;
- reduced or removed animation when the browser requests reduced motion; and
- video players that are titled and load only after the visitor activates them.
Core page content remains readable when the optional accent font, animations or embedded media are unavailable.
Known limitations
We are continuing to review the site and may discover barriers that are not yet listed here. Current areas requiring particular attention include:
- Captioning and audio-description quality for archival video may depend on the material supplied by its original publisher.
- Historical photographs and scanned materials can contain visual details that are difficult to capture fully in short alternative text.
We will update this statement when a material limitation is confirmed or corrected.
Third-party content
This site links to or embeds services we do not control, including ticket sellers, venues, the merchandise store, music platforms, YouTube and social networks. Their accessibility may differ from this site’s.
If a third-party service creates a barrier, we welcome the report and will try to help identify an alternative route where one is available. We cannot guarantee or directly remediate another company’s website or application.
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need site information in another format, use a method published on the Contact page. Please identify the message as an accessibility request and, if possible, include:
- the page address or feature involved;
- what you were trying to do;
- what happened or what information was unavailable; and
- the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable sharing it.
We will review reports and work to provide the requested information or another access method where reasonably possible.
Assessment and updates
This statement reflects internal review of the site’s structure, content and interactive behavior. It is not a third-party certification or legal opinion. The statement will be revised as testing, content and remediation work continue.
General questions about this statement can be directed through the methods on the Contact page.
